Page 25 - The torture chamber!

Officer Richard "Dick" Dooley is searching through the Middleton Museum for the crooks that broke in through the side entrance but instead of finding the crooks, he finds the night guard, cowering in fear.
Will the team up and work together to get the crooks?
Will the end up shooting each other out of confusion?

Bella the comic book!

I just got some comics back from the printer, Comixpress! I'm thrilled to have gotten something printed but I'm sure I won't get rich on it. Now if only I can get Comixpress to put it in their catalog so that others can buy it as well!

Page 24, "Like rats in a trap!"

Our bumbling crooks have found the loot and they are packing it away. Meanwhile our friend, police officer Dooley, is searching the museum for signs of the crooks. But it looks like the hunter may have become the prey.

I would like to thank our audience for coming back to read our comic. Tiina, the artist, has been dealing with health issues that have slowed her out put down quite a bit. fortunately she is still in the game and producing pages, just more slowly. Personally I'm always excited to see what she produces, slow or not.

Some exciting recent news is that we will be having a comic printed at Comixpress, a print on demand company, featuring our story Bella meets Rex, with some added material. When it finally happens we will definitely let you people know.

Our bumbling crooks have found the jewels of Prague and are packing them away. Just one question - Where's Bruiser?

As a special bonus I'm going to post our rough sketches for this page.

Page 21- Living on easy street!

Mad Dog Murphy and his crew have broken into the Middleton Museum and have finally reach there goal, the third room of the visiting Prague exhibit, the room of gold watches and jewelry! Can the clean out the room and get out before they are discovered by Bella, Officer Dooley, or the night guard? Will the Golem's awakening interfere in their plans, or will he turn on the authority figures? Will anyone get out of here alive? Stay tuned and find out in our new Bella story "Feet of Clay!!!

The evolution of a comic page!

As a special treat to all our readers I wanted to share with you the process of completing a page of Bella! This is our new page, #20.

Of coarse we start with the script. We work from a full script. This helps Tiina quite a bit in getting the ideas she needs to draw the page.

PAGE 20

PANEL 1 – The Golem is all alone in the exhibit room. He hears some footsteps of someone in the next room.

Sound effect – TOCK TOCK TOCK

PANEL 2 – We see the guard consciously enter the room with his gun in his hand.

PANEL 3 – The Golem sees the guard in front of the picture of the clock tower.

PANEL 4 – This image triggers a memory of the time he was at the clock tower of Prague attacking the anti-Semites. This memory should have the wavy lines around it indicating that it is a memory. This scene should have lots of angry villagers with torches and lots of people fighting with make shift weapons like clubs and fireplace pokers. There may be a well dressed man on a horse and a sword in hand.

PANEL 5 – the Golem's eyes grow big with rage.

PANEL 6 – the guard sees the broken automaton on the ground which spooks him terribly.

PANEL 7 – The guard runs out of the room. 

Tiina reads the script, draws up the page, and then sends it to me for approval. Being the picky guy that I am, I usually have some changes for her to make.

Page 20 - Was it just my imagination!

While our mousy night guard, Ralph Johnson, is checking out the strange noise that he thought he heard, a clay statue that is part of the Prague exhibit, the Golem of Prague, has been awoken from his dormancy, and he seems upset! Will Ralph be able to find and apprehend the crooks? Will the Golem go on a rampage killing our security guard and many other people? Will Bella be able to arrive in time to restrain the Golem?

Page 18 - The Plot Thickens!

The Golem has awaken, Mad Dog and gang are digging up some loot in the museum, and Ralph Johnson, the museum night guard is hiding in fear. In the mean time Donna DeAngelo, aka the Brilliant Bella, and her partner Richard "Dick" Dooley are trolling the streets of Middleton when they get a call for a missing policeman.

Page 17 - IT'S ALIVE!!!!

The Golem of Prague, after wakening in the Middleton Museum, is confused. The strange sights and sounds flood his mind as he tries to make sense of it all. And with the new impressions come old ones as well!

Page 16 - Hello! Is there anybody in there?

So through the help of  our Mic thug, Shaun ‘Ace’ Doyle, the Golem has awaken again! After being asleep for 400 years things look pretty strange to him. How would you react after waking up 400 years from now? Well find out what our friend the Golem of Prague does! 

 

Page 15 - Meet the Golem of Prague!

As the crooks search through the museum for the jewel room, they stumble upon the Prague exhibit with the legendary Golem of Prague! The legend is that a Rabi animated a statue of clay to chase out the anti Semites of Prague. But it's only a legend....right?

Page 14 - Missing cop!!!

A cop is missing and our dynamic twosome are on the case!!!

Page 13 - Fear itself!

The museum can be a scary place at night especially when you have monstrous statues hanging around! But it's OK because our guard is fearless!

Yeah right!

 

Page 12 - Where's Ace?!?

The three partners in crime, Mad Dog Murphy, Ace Doyle, and Bruiser Burns, are trying to get into the Museum of Middleton to rob it of it's precious jewels collection but they have run into a little trouble getting the back door open. But Mad Dog has arrived and will sort it all out! Now if he can only find Ace! Where did he go?

Page 11 - Jumpin at shadows!

Night Guard for the Museum of Middleton, Ralph Johnson, watch out, the crooks are on the prowl and they take no prisoners! That is if they can get inside the dang back door!

Page 10 - Open Sesame!

So the crooks are trying to get into the museum! Won't the guard be surprised! But will they even be able to get in? We'll see.

Page 9 - Partners in crime!

It's a eerrily silent night! The silence is shattered by the snap of a gunshot. A cop falls dead! Three crooks are responsible! What kind of trouble could they possibly have up their sleeves?
